Once your site is live, Bloom.io is often the easiest place to request updates or manage content — depending on how your project was configured. This guide covers the most common tasks our clients handle through the portal.
Before you edit
Not every site uses the same content workflow. Some clients edit copy directly in Bloom; others submit change requests and we publish updates for them.
If you are unsure which setup applies to you, check your project thread in Bloom or ask us — we will point you to the right workflow before you make changes.
Updating page content
When direct editing is enabled for your project:
- Open your project in Bloom.io.
- Navigate to the Content or Pages section (wording may vary by project).
- Select the page you want to update.
- Edit the text fields shown — headings, body copy, button labels, and similar.
- Save your changes and preview if a preview link is available.
Tip: Keep copy concise and match the tone of surrounding sections. Large rewrites or new pages are usually better handled as a change request so we can review layout and SEO impact.
Replacing images
To swap a photo or illustration:
- Find the image field on the relevant page or content entry.
- Upload a new file — use high-quality JPG or WebP when possible.
- Add or update alt text describing the image for accessibility.
- Save and preview the page.
For hero images or gallery updates that affect layout, send us the files in your project thread instead — we can optimize sizing and cropping for you.
Forms and submissions
If your site includes contact or lead forms connected to Bloom:
- Submissions typically appear in a Forms or Inbox area within your project.
- You may receive email notifications for new entries depending on your settings.
- Export or review submissions regularly if you rely on them for sales or scheduling.
Need a new form field or a form connected to a different email address? Message us in Bloom — form logic usually requires a quick backend update on our end.
Requesting changes from our team
For anything beyond simple text or image swaps — new sections, design tweaks, integrations, or troubleshooting — use your Bloom project thread:
- Describe what you want changed and why.
- Attach screenshots, copy docs, or reference links when helpful.
- Note your ideal timeline if the request is time-sensitive.
We will confirm scope, timing, and whether the work is covered by your maintenance plan or quoted separately.
Publishing and going live
Depending on your setup, changes you make in Bloom may publish immediately or queue for our review. If you do not see updates on your live site within a reasonable window, check for a Publish or Submit for review action — or reach out and we will take a look.
